Hunan Hualian Torch Porcelain Insulator & Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd., formerly known as Hunan Liling Torch Porcelain Insulator & Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd., was established in December 4, 1946, created by the Bureau of the CPC Shanghai. At that time, it was called "China Electric Porcelain Factory," and then renamed "Military control China porcelain plant" after the liberation. After several changes, in February 2, 1960, it was officially named "Hunan Liling porcelain insulator works". In September of 1999, Hunan Liling Porcelain Insulator Works and Hunan Guoguangciye Group Co., Ltd. established a joint venture, Hunan Liling Torch Porcelain Insulator & Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd. It Has attached to the State Ministry of Machinery, then Hunan Light Industry Office, Liling Porcelain Company，and then Bureau of Hunan Machinery Industry. In January of 1985, The Plant was transferred to Zhuzhou, in the charge of the Economic Committee.
